Swizzels Drumstick guide: lollies, chews and Squashies

Drumstick began as a chewy lolly with raspberry-and-milk flavour. Squashies puts a familiar flavour idea into a soft gum format. A shared flavour name does not make a lolly, chew and Squashie the same sweet: the physical format and ingredients can differ. [1][2]

What flavour is an original Drumstick?

Swizzels describes the original Drumstick flavour as raspberry and milk. That flavour pairing connects several products, but the brand also offers other named Squashies flavours.

Read the full name when buying. Original, Bubblegum and Sour Cherry & Apple refer to different flavour choices. A pink-and-white appearance alone is not enough to identify every soft sweet or confirm its declaration.[1]

Is milk flavour a complete allergen statement?

No. A flavour name and an ingredient declaration serve different purposes. Read the exact pack for ingredients and allergens.

How are Drumstick lollies different from Squashies?

A lolly presents the sweet on a stick; a chew is a separate chewy piece; Squashies is a soft gum format. Swizzels’ history describes Squashies as a softer reinterpretation of familiar sweets rather than a lolly with the stick removed.

The current Original Squashies declaration lists gelatine as a gelling agent. That helps explain why the named product should not be given a dietary label just because another Swizzels sweet has one.[2][3]

Which Drumstick pack works for your occasion?

For a mixed sweet bowl, small soft pieces and individually wrapped lollies do different jobs. Compare the wrapper format, the size of each retail bag and the number of bags in a case, rather than assuming a bigger box contains bigger sweets.

The HRS links below are named Squashies bag formats. Check the selected quantity before checkout. The product image shows the retail format; the listing title and pack options establish how many you receive.[2][3]

Customer questions, answered

Are Squashies melted Drumstick lollies?

They are a distinct soft gum format, not simply the lolly with its shape changed. [2]

Are Original Squashies vegetarian?

The current manufacturer declaration checked here lists gelatine. Check the actual pack rather than applying a statement from another Swizzels range. [3]
