What to put in a movie-night snack box for two
Start with the film and two people's tastes. A long evening with a double bill might call for a different selection from a short film after dinner. Choose a manageable mix you will both enjoy, and keep individual favourites separate if sharing always ends in negotiations.
Give each person a say
Have each person choose a chocolate snack and a savoury snack first. Use the remaining spaces for sweets, another favourite or something you both want to try. You do not need to agree on every flavour to make one good box.
Check ingredients and allergens before choosing. If either person has an allergy or intolerance, do not rely on a box's name, colour or a taste preference to tell you whether its contents are suitable.
Try an eight-item mix as a starting point
One possible mix is four chocolate snacks, two crisp or savoury snacks and two sweet snacks. Split those choices between you. This is a planning example, not a fixed product recipe, serving recommendation or promise of stock.
Look at the actual pack sizes. Eight small packets and eight sharing bags are very different amounts of food. Choose the quantity that suits your evening and keep unopened extras for another day.
Balance flavours and textures
If most of the box is sweet, a savoury choice gives you something different between chocolate and sweets. If you both like sour sweets, include them deliberately rather than assuming everyone enjoys them.
A familiar wafer or crisp can sit alongside a treat you have not tried before. Keep the unfamiliar part small when you are buying for someone else; the box should still contain enough favourites if the experiment is not a hit.
Pick the contents yourself for fewer surprises
