Buying full cases: retail packs, case counts and unit pricesFind your favourite.

A full case can be useful when you need many of the same retail pack. Start with the number you will use, then compare the case with any smaller quantity options rather than assuming a case is always the best fit.

Write down the retail packs you need

Count the unopened bars, bags or rolls you want to allocate. Keep retail packs separate from pieces inside them: a Duo is one retail pack, even when it contains two inner pieces.

The examples below have different case counts: 24 Mars Duo packs, 60 Milky Way single bars and 30 Transform-A-Snack bags. Their products and weights differ, so the largest case count does not automatically suit your plan.

Compare surplus before buying

If a chosen product comes in cases of 24 and you need 25 retail packs, two cases supply 48 and leave 23 extra. Where that exact product also has a one-pack selector, a case plus one pack may fit the count more closely.

The selected Mars Duo offers illustrate a case and a separate smaller quantity listing. Compare their current prices and available options; this is not a promise that every case can be split.

Check the complete order cost and practical fit

Use the full selected quantity and include delivery in the order comparison. A case label does not itself guarantee a discount.

Consider when you will use the surplus and the storage and best-before information on the actual products. The best format is the one that fits your quantity and practical needs.

Your questions.Useful answers.

Ingredients and allergen information
Does wholesale mean the lowest price?

No particular discount follows from that word. Compare the actual price, quantity and delivery total.

Should I compare pieces or retail packs?

Use the unit you plan to allocate. Count retail packs consistently and only count individual pieces where an exact count is declared.

Can I combine a case and a smaller pack?

Only where the exact product has both available offers. Read the selected options and compare their complete order cost.
