A few things
you might be
wondering.
Small questions. Clear answers.
How do I split the cost of a group gift equally?+
Enter the gift cost and any delivery or extras, then add the people contributing. Choose Equally and the calculator divides the exact total across the group.
Can contributions be unequal?+
Yes. Choose Unequal and give each person a share weight from 0 to 100. For example, weights of 2, 1 and 1 split a £40 total into £20, £10 and £10. A zero weight allocates nothing to that person.
Why might equal contributions differ by one penny?+
Some totals cannot be divided into equal whole pennies. The calculator assigns the remaining pennies in list order after considering each fractional share, so the contributions always add up to the exact total.
Does it collect money or save the group?+
No. It calculates suggestions only, does not collect money and does not save the group after a reload. Copy or download the plan before leaving. Names and amounts are not included in tool analytics.
Can I use it for a colleague or teacher gift?+
Yes. It works for workplace collections, teacher gifts, birthday presents or any other group gift. Agree the proposed split with everyone before asking for contributions.
